Tras la salida al mercado del álbum de QUEEN,The Miracle en 1989,Roger decidió grabar otro álbum con THE CROSS.Se sabe que cortes como IN CHANGE OF MY HEART,corte no publicado en el segundo álbum de THE CROSS,ya estaba compuesto durante las sesiones de QUEEN en THE MIRACLE.El demo de 12 minutos de Stealin,muestra a Freddie cantando el corte de THE CROSS.

Roger volvió al estudio con THE CROSS para grabar Mad, Bad And Dangerous To Know,su segundo y mejor álbum de estudio.Cuyos créditos serían los siguientes:

La portada mostraba un escena barroca que volvía a aparecer en el vídeo promocional Power To Love.Liar y Power To Love.Los ingles los siguientes:

Liar  [gallery | Queen single release] 6 August 1990. Released in Germany only.
Lanzado en marzo, nuevamente sin entrar a su respectivo chart. En este nuevo disco aparecen temas de autoría de los otros miembros de la banda, además de un cover del tema Foxy Lady de Jimi Hendrix que se incluye solamente en la edición en cd. El único single promocional del álbum se lanzó en abril de 1990, llegando al no 85 del chart. Para promocionar realizaron una gira únicamente por Alemania. En este mismo país solamente se sacó a la venta un segundo single, titulado Liar, junto al lado-b In Charge Of My Heart. El single final sería Final Destination, sólo para Francia y Alemania. Terminarían el año con una presentación en el Astoria Theatre, para el fan club, concierto del cual luego editarían un cassette, exclusivo para el club de fans.
